Lima is a sophisticated and cosmopolitan city that has retained much of its classic colonial architecture and pre-Colombian archaeological sites, that features many of South Americas most beautiful historic museums, churches and cathedrals. The city is alive with activity in its trendy neighborhoods like Miraflores, the beachfronts of Costa Verde and Barranco, and the upscale boutiques, massive shopping plazas, and exclusive shops. Some of the most popular attractions include Plaza Bolivar, Plaza Italia, and of course the Plaza de Armas, and the breathtaking panoramas of the Alameda Chabuca Granda viewpoint.

History enthusiasts will love Lima's, National Museum of Anthropology, the Museo de Arte de Lima,and the Gold Museum, the pre-Colombian Huaca Huallamarca temple and the Huaca Pullana site, to Colonial Basilica Cathedral. (La Catedral, and the gigantic ruins of Cajamarquilla, just outside the Lima city limits.

Lima is the center of the gastronomic universe in all of South American, with cuisine that is as varied as its people with fine restaurants, bars and club, and live music throuought the city, and accommodations in Lima can satisfy the most discriminating traveler, and our preferred hotels include every level of comfort style, and luxury services.

Day 1: Lima

You will arrive to Lima: one of the most important and modern cities in South America founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535. Upon arrival you will be received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Our representative will give you a documentation kit with detailed program explanation. Overnight in Lima. Meals Included: None.

Day 2: Lima

In the afternoon, a trip to the essential Lima, 'The City of Kings' including the most important architectural icons of the city, such as the Main Square, where you can find the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. Then, you continue with a visit to the San Francisco Convent, an architectonic jewel dating back to the 16th century. On your way to the modern area of the city, you will cross the exclusive district of San Isidro, the new financial heart of the city, to take a look at pre-Inca Huaca Huallamarca. Finally, you conclude the circuit in Miraflores, where you will visit the 'Parque del Amor' (Love Park) an excellent spot to enjoy a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Overnight in Lima. Meals Included: Breakfast at Hotel.

Day 3: Cuzco

Upon arrival to Cuzco you will be received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the morning is free to rest and get acclimatized to the altitude. In the afternoon, you will visit the Imperial City, living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish cultures. You start the trip visiting the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, an ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Later, you will stop at the Main Square, where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of La Compania. Going on with the tour, you will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city. Then you will continue the tour to Kenko, a vast rocky hilltop carved into staircases, holes and channels, probably built to store the chicha (fermented maize beer) used in Inca rituals. And finally, visit the archaeological Inca remains of Tambomachay known as the 'Baths of the Inca'. Overnight in Cuzco. Meals Included: Breakfast .

Day 4: Sacred Valley

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cuzco and driven towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. You will arrive to the colorful market of Pisac, where you will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen, or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs. You will continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Finally, you will visit Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets, where you will discover the remainings of the only Inca Fortress that allowed incan troops to defeat the spanish conquistadores. Overnight in the Sacred Valley. Meals Included: Breakfast at Cuzco Hotel and Lunch during Sacred Valley tour.

Day 5: MachuPicchu

You will wake up very early in the morning for a transfer from your Sacred Valley hotel to the Ollanta Train Station. You will board the Expedition Train to enjoy a 2-hour journey passing through lush, green fields and colorful villages in the foothills of the Andes. Final train destination is Aguas Calientes, the little town with an elevation of 6,700 ft., located at the bottom of MachuPicchu Mountain. Your tour guide will walk with you to the bus stop (next door to the train station). Then A 20 minute bus ride takes you to the top of the mountain, where you will find the entrance to the marvelous citadel, an awe-inspiring sight, MachuPicchu. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit you the history around this mysterious and charming place. After the tour, descend to Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Your ride back to Cuzco will consist on the return train ride to Ollanta onboard the Expedition and a ground transfer from Ollanta train station to your hotel in Cuzco. Overnight in Cuzco. Meals Included: Breakfast at Sacred Valley Hotel and Lunch after MachuPicchu tour.

Day 6: Tambopata Amazon

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Puerto Maldonado. You will travel to the gorgeous rainforest and discover the intricate balance of life of this lush ecosystem. Here you'll marvel at the thousands of species of flora and fauna that live in the jungle. Upon arrival you will be received by our representatives and transferred to the river port for your departure by motor canoe to the selected lodge. If it is required, there will be a stop in the way for last-minute shopping of basic utensils. In the afternoon, arrival to the lodge and accommodation. Activities will be indicated by the tour guide. Overnight in Tambopata Amazon. Meals Included: Breakfast at Lima Hotel, Lunch and Dinner at Tambopata Lodge.

Day 7: Tambopata Amazon

All possible activities will be indicated by the tour guide; you'll see the landscape and the variety of species of plants and animals in their natural habitat. Activities such as nature walks and canoe excursions for birdwatching and ecology among others. Southeastern Peruvian rainforest is one of the wild, untamed, uninhabited hotspots of the planet. Every day will be an adventure. Overnight in Tambopata Amazon. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Tambopata Lodge.

Day 8: Tambopata Amazon

Rest until departure time. If you wish, it is possible to coordinate with your tour guide for an optional activity. At the scheduled time, return by motor canoe to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport, embark your flight from Puerto Maldonado into the Capital of the Kings-Lima. Upon arrival, you wiill take the connection with your international departure flight. Meals Included: Breakfast at Puerto Maldonado Lodge .
