Trumansburg is a village situated just inland from the western shores of Cayuga Lake, one of New York`s Finger Lakes. It is a gateway to Taughannock Falls State Park, where Taughannock Creek meets Cayuga Lake. Here there are three waterfalls: the main falls, with a 215-foot plunge, is even higher than Niagara Falls, and is the tallest waterfall in the U.S. east of the Rocky Mountains. Trumansburg is also a gateway to Finger Lakes National Forest.
