Combine: Missoula (known for its blue-ribbon trout fishing, outdoor recreational opportunities, and spectacular natural beauty) near the Nez-Perce National Forest and Helena (the state capital with crystal-clear views of some of the most beautiful sections of the Rocky Mountains) near the Lewis and Clark national forest before heading to Butte (known as the richest hill on Earth due to its rich mining history). A stay in West Yellowstone offers the opportunity to see the popular national park known for the Old Faithful geyser.
