Brattleboro is the most populous town in southeastern Vermont. It is located right across the Connecticut River from New Hampshire, and is just 10 minutes from Massachusetts as well. A flourishing `mill town` in the 19th century, today Brattleboro is a cultural and educational hub in the region, and is known for such sites as Naulakha, the home once owned by noted British author Rudyard Kipling.
