Fiji Islands
The picturesque Fiji Islands, of which there are over 300, are scattered in the South Pacific, a result of volcanic activity through many millennia. The two largest islands, where most people live, are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The largest cities, including the capital, Suva, are on Viti Levu, and you will most likely start here before exploring Vanua Levu and such islands groups as the gorgeous Mamanuca Islands and the beautiful Yasawa Islands.
New Zealand
Located in the South Pacific Ocean, off the southeast coast of Australia, New Zealand is made up of two spectacular islands. The North Island is well known for its beaches, islands, volcanoes, geothermal areas, and Maori heritage, while the major cities of Auckland and Wellington, are also exciting hubs of culture, cuisine and nightlife. The South Island is famous for its dramatic landscapes, outdoor activities, and astounding wildlife. The majestic Southern Alps stretch almost the length of the island, sheltering glaciers, alpine lakes, and some of the world's best skiing.
Australia
The only country that has a whole continent to itself, Australia is a major tourist destination. World-famous for its natural wonders and wide-open spaces (beaches, deserts, and 'the Outback'), Australia is ironically one of the world's most highly urbanized countries and is well known for its cosmopolitan cities, such as Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra. If you're interested in the miracles of the water-world, don't miss the Great Barrier Reef. The Wet Tropics of Queensland comprise dense rainforests and foaming waterfalls. Rare species of animals can be seen in the famous Kakadu National Park as well as ancient aboriginal art.
