Harpers Ferry, WV Vacation Packages

Harpers Ferry is situated in extreme northeastern West Virginia where the Shenandoah River meets the Potomac. The site of the first ferry crossing on the Potomac, Harpers Ferry is known in history as the site of John Brown`s failed slave revolt in 1859, and the first meeting of the Niagara Movement, led by educator and civil rights pioneer W.E.B. Du Bois, in 1906. Sites related to both historic moments can be seen in the center of town, now a national historical park.
