Penn Yan is a village on Keuka Lake, one of New York`s Finger Lakes. It is well-known for its multiple historic districts, which chronicle over two centuries of architecture in varying styles. The area was founded by Quakers and their descendants still live here, as do Mennonite and Amish communities, who own and operate the many dairy farms nearby. The Keuka Lake Outlet Trail takes visitors on a scenic hike from Keuka Lake to Seneca Lake. The town of Penn Yan, New York is made up of two distinct areas.
