    The Chattahoochee National Forest is found in the North Georgia Mountains. It covers 749,689 acres, managed by six ranger districts. Along with a wealth of outdoor activities, here visitors can also enjoy the mountains anytime of the year. The Chattahoochee National Forest is composed of an eastern and western forest. The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests have 37 developed recreation areas, 500 developed campsites, 200 picnic sites, 6 swim beaches and 530 miles of trails.
