Trip Summary

  • Indianapolis, IN

Indianapolis claims to fame revolve mostly around sports. The Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400 and the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals allow the city to boast the two largest single-day sporting events in the world and the world's largest drag race. Add in the Indianapolis Colts, the NBA Pacers and the NCAA headquarters, and it's easy to understand why sports can overshadow everything else the city has to offer. If you take time to look around, though, you'll find that Indianapolis's pride extends well beyond the racecourse.

Explore the Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana State Museum, White River State Park, Fort Harrison State Park, Eagle Creek Park, Monument Circle, Indiana World War Memorial and much more.

  • Fort Wayne, IN

Fort Wayne is the principal city in northeastern Indiana, and is the second-largest in the state after Indianapolis. It is a great city for all types of tourists but especially for families, as it is well-known for hands-on museums, many of them in the open air, such as the Science Central discovery center; Fort Wayne Children`s Zoo; and the Foellinger-Friemann Botanical Conservatory. Fort Wayne is also known as the burial place of the famed Johnny Appleseed.

Explore the Fort Wayne Children`s Zoo, Foellinger-Friemann Botanical Conservatory, Science Central, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Headwaters Park, Promenade Park, Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve, Johnny Appleseed Park, Fort Wayne Air Museum, Castle Gallery, and so much more!
