Located in Southwest Alberta, just across the border from Montana, Waterton Lakes National Park offers an incredible location connected to Glacier National Park to the south. The cozy town on Upper Watertown Lake is full of shops, restaurants, outfitters and hotels. In 2017, the Kenow Wildfire burned over 47,000 acres of land in Waterton Lakes National Park. While the fire dealt a big blow to much of the park, the natural recovery of the park has been progressing shockingly fast. This quick regeneration is truly awesome to see, especially considering that amount of devastation that took place.
