In Cape Verde the sun shines almost daily with average temperatures between 75-86 degrees, it is referred to as the `African Caribbean`. Sitting just over 300 miles off the coast of West Africa these islands boast their own climate with warm sunny days throughout the year and wet season during the summer which brings tropical type weather with heavy downpours. The rainy season is from July through October when downpours can occur daily, but the sun shines through afterwards. The islands subtropical temperatures make it a great beach destination with warm waters averaging at 77 degrees for swimming, snorkeling and diving.
