City Center

The City Center of Cebu is the `Queen City of the South` situated on the mid-eastern side of Cebu Island. The area is made up of several cities, municipalities, and towns including Carcar, Danao, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Naga, and Talisay. It is the seat of the government and was the first Spanish settlement, the first capital of the Philippines and the oldest city in the whole country. The heart of the city is the main area for trade, education, and commerce. Visitors can find a wide array of accommodations in the heart of the city along with plenty of dining options and areas for shopping and other entertainment. Many of the cities bustling markets can be found in the downtown area and open up bright and early.

Mactan Island

Mactan Island is located 1 mile away from Cebu Island across the Mactan Strait. The island includes Lapu-Lapu and the municipality of Cordova, reachable from the main island by two bridges. The Mactan-Cebu International Airport is located on Mactan and this is the area most people will first catch a glimpse of when flying into the city. This beautiful coral island boasts some of the most luxurious resorts in the entire city and offers a diverse collection of tourist attractions as well as being one of the best diving and snorkeling areas. Visitors can visit some of the most historic sites in Mactan including the Lapu-Lapu Shrine. Island hopping is a great activity to see the beauty of the surrounding tropical islands. Water sports are in abundance here with swimming, snorkeling, diving, sailing and more just offshore. The famous Ibiza Beach Club is located on Mactan offering up a restaurant and bar that jet out into the water and luxurious surroundings for a romantic evening.

The North Reclamation Area

The North Reclamation Area of Cebu City situated along the eastern portion of the Island. The area is also referred to as SM City Cebu and SM Cebu where the large SM Mall is located, which is the 6th largest mall in the country. Cebu city is a large international port where ferry rides can be taken to the surrounding islands. Other attractions surrounding the SM Mall includes an IMAX theatre, restaurants, bars cars and other entertainment options.
