CORAL COAST - HOTEL ZONE

Town

The main town along the coral coast is Sigatoka Town which is located on the main island of Viti Levu, situated at the mouth of the Sigatoka River. Sigatoka is 38 miles East of Nadi on the southwest coastline and can be reached by Queens Road which is the main highway that travels along this part of the coastline connecting Nadi all the way to Suva in the East and Lautoka in the North. This quaint, quiet town sits on the banks of the river and features small local stores and the famous Sigatoka Market. Other attractions in the area include the Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Kula Eco Park and some of the best hotels and resorts on the island. Sigatoka is the heart of the farming industry in Fiji with the Sigatoka Valley which is also known as `Fiji`s salad bowl` fresh produce and other local ingredients are grown here and can be found at the local market and served in the restaurants in town. The Coral Coast beaches are great for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and surfing and the hotels and resorts that are situated along the beach offer plenty of water sports activities and plentiful sunshine.
