Clare is Ireland`s most easily identifiable county. It`s the pointy bit that sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean above Kerry and below Galway. The coastline, from Loop Head in the south to Black Head in the north, is a winning combination of rugged sea cliffs and sheltered sandy beaches. Unspoiled natural beauty and a spectacular coastline are not the only assets of County Clare... The charming and different villages and seaside towns along the coast; the hospitality of its people; the traditions of Irish Music and Dance; colorful small shops and cozy pubs; traditional cottages and houses are just a few of the attributes of this area.
Clare is a county of great natural beauty and wonderful landscapes. It has a rich heritage tradition with some of the finest monuments, buildings and waterways. Clare is also the traditional music capital of Ireland, with year round music festivals and trad sessions throughout the county.
Dating back from the 11th century, Ennis is a town with beautiful cathedrals and architecture. It is now an important centre of Irish traditional music.
