The historic towns, many of which have beautifully-preserved Old Towns, are charming and captivating all at once. While the country is very rural in parts, much of the area is federally protected in national parks. There are great opportunities for outdoor recreation here; Montenegro is one of the best places in Europe for a hiking vacation. These parks are great places to experience the amazing panoramic views that Montenegro is well-known for.
