GETTING AROUND KOH LANTA

By Motorcycle

One of the main ways to get around the island is by motorbike or scooter. Visitors can hire them for around 250 baht per day which allows them the freedom to explore the island at their leisure. The island features two main roads on both coasts with interconnecting roads that are in good condition and make exploring on two wheels a fun adventure. Zipping around on a scooter or motorcycle gives you that island feeling and the ability to stop off at different sights and explore the many exotic beaches.

By Foot

Walking around the many beautiful island beaches and towns is a great way to explore the beauty of Koh Lanta. Wander around the main town of Lanta Old Town and visit the waterfront restaurants and shops. Take a relaxing stroll along one of the many beaches and soak in the sun, sand, and sea. Take a trek in the lush verdant mountainous region found on the east side of the island filled with hidden waterfalls and stunning natural scenery.

By Boat

Island hopping boat tours are a great way to spend your day when visiting Koh Lanta with many sights to see including hidden caves, deserted coves, and untouched beaches. There is a 4 island tour including a visit to the Emerald Cave along with swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and gorgeous scenery including the iconic limestone cliffs.

By Tuk-tuk

Songthaews and samlohs are the islands form of taxis either with three wheels (samloh) and a sidecar or pick up trucks (songthaews) with two rows of seating in the truck bed. Tuk-tuks can be found almost anywhere on the island, especially outside of 7/11 stores, hotels and along the roads.
