The Central Bus Station in Eilat is located on HaTemarim Boulevard, which is close to the center of town where the road meets Ha-Arva Road. There are taxis available outside the station. Or some hotels may be within walking distance. The main form of public transportation in Eilat are buses, bus no. 15 runs from the bus station and serves the North Beach, and South Beach areas, as well as hotels, then travel south toward the Taba border crossing with stops at the beach and other attractions along the way. Bus no.16 travels the same route in the opposite direction. The main local buses in the city are numbers 1,2,15, and 16, departing around every 20-30 minutes from the early morning until around 8 pm. There are night buses that operate in the city. A single bus ticket costs around NIS4.20, there are Rav Kav cards available at the Bus Station which you can load tickets on for daily NIS8, or 5 days at NIS33.50.

There are taxis all over the city, distances in the city are quite short and taking a cab is an easy option. There are taxis on the streets, outside shopping malls, and other main attractions and they can be ordered over the phone.

Renting a car when visiting Eilat is a great idea as the airports offer rental cars and the drive is short, making it easy to reach your destination. A car is a great option when you wish to visit some of the surrounding areas including Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea, Arad, Aqaba, and more. There are parking opportunities available in the city costing around 5NIS per hour or 25NIS per day, parking spaces are meters and only accept coins. A day ticket can be used all over the city.

The city center is walkable and the promenade area and central square are great to visit on foot. Walking the beaches is a beautiful relaxing experience, but can get very hot during the summer months. To get from the city center to the beaches will require a bus or taxi ride. There are opportunities for hiking in the Eilat Mountains Nature Reserve, which is just outside the city.

There are some great areas to cycle around in the city, especially along the promenade and down by the beaches.
