GETTING AROUND - HERZLIYA

By Bus

The main form of public transportation in Herzliya is buses, they are the cheapest way to get around the city. Bus Route 90 makes its way past the seafront and travels through the leafy streets of Herzliya Pituach, traveling to Tel Aviv. This trip takes around 30 minutes. Other bus connections are numbers 501, 502, 47, 48, and 247, these all connect Herzliya City with Tel Aviv.

There is an Egged Bus service that travels from Allenby Street in Tel Aviv to Herzliya taking around 45 minutes and costing around NIS9. There Herzliya Municipal Bus no. 29 travels to the beach costing around NIS5.60.

By Train

The Herzliya railway station is located in the city of Herzliya featuring three island platforms. Herzliya is located on the main Tel-Aviv-Haifa train line, there are taxis and buses available outside the station to reach your hotel.

By Car

You can rent a car from the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv and take the short drive to Herzliya. The city is located on the main highway and the journey takes around 20 minutes. The Coast Highway (Highway 2) runs from Tel Aviv to Haifa and has two exists for Herzliya; HaSira and Rabin. The Ayalon Highways (Highway 20) from Tel Aviv also has two exits for Herzliya.

By Taxi

There are plenty of taxis in Herzliya many found in the city center and the beach area. You can hail a taxi on the street, find them outside the train and bus stations as well as major attractions or call and order one by phone from your hotel. Yango is a ride-hailing service that is available in the city.

On Foot

Walking around different areas in the city is possible, you can easily walk around the city center which is filled with tourist attractions, restaurants, cafes, and shops. Walking around the Herzlia Petuah beach area is a wonderful way to see the Marina, beaches, restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. It is long-distance between the city center and Herzlia Petuah, the walk can take 20 minutes or more. The beach area is decorated with verdant leafy boulevards and the city center is filled with wide boulevards, both a pleasure to wander down.

By Bike

There are designated bike lanes in Herzliya, there are bicycle rentals available as well as electrical bikes. Riding along the beachfront and waterfront by the marina makes for a pleasant ride and there are plenty of places to explore by bike including the popular Herzliya Park.

By Boat

There are no cruises or ferries available in Herzliya, however, you can bring your own boat or yacht into the Herzliya Marina.
