GETTING AROUND - NETANYA

By Bus

The main forms of transportation in Netanya are buses and taxis. Buses travel to all the suburbs and several express buses operate between Netanya and Jerusalem. Buses no. 601 and 605 leave Netanya to Tel Aviv every 15 minutes throughout the day until 7 pm, the last bus departs at 11 pm.

By Taxi

Taxis are available in the city 24 hours a day, they can be found in the city center around the train and bus stations or called and ordered over the phone.

By Car

You can rent a car in Tel Aviv and travel to Netanya which would make the 54-mile journey more enjoyable and you can make stops along the way and take in the passing scenery. The main coastal highway is Hwy.2 which connects Tel Aviv and Haifa, Hwy.4 is the wider highway that runs parallel and runs inland, Netanya can be reached from both Hwy. 3 and 4.

On Foot

Walking around the small downtown area of the city is easily done. The impressive Netanya Square is a popular area in the city, the fountains are a gathering place for families with children, and the fountains run day and night when colorful lights fill the water. Netanya’s main attractions are the beautiful beaches which are perfect for a morning stroll and a romantic sunset romantic walk to soak up the sand, sea, and views.

By Bicycle

There are bicycle rentals available in Netanya from many different locations. There is a bike park located along highway 57 in the middle of an old industrial zone covering 4 hectares, with bicycle rental points. The tracks here are also available for a leisurely ride, as well as racing and professional cyclist opportunities.
