There are several large islands located in the UNESCO Natural Wonder of the World, Halong Bay. The islands situated in the bay are truly magnificent places to explore and discover Mother Nature at its finest. These islands provide a multitude of activities including exploring hidden caves, sunbathing on beautiful secluded beaches, and swimming, snorkeling or diving in the clear blue waters along with hiking on Ban Sen Island and through Cat Ba National Park.

Cat Ba Island is the largest and best-known island located in Lan Ha Bay. Cat Ba has a small town which serves as an excellent base for many outdoor activities along with exquisite beaches, accommodations, and dining. Cat Ba National Park is situated on the island, a tropical jungle setting filled with flora, fauna and wildlife and over 11 miles of hiking trails up to the summit. There are three main beaches situated on Cat Ba, Cat Co One, Cat Co Two and Cat Co Three.

Dau Be Island is a spectacular destination for swimming and diving and well known for its rich vibrant coral and hidden grottos situated within its three lakes. The island is famous for its breathtaking scenery, featuring lush green foliage and wildlife.

Dau Go Island is famous for Dau Go Cave or Wooden Stakes Cave, which is the largest and one of the most beautiful and vibrant caves in the bay filled with stalagmites and stalactites.

Ban Sen Island is famous for hiking through the lush vegetated uninhabited forest. The island is peaceful and scenic, you can hire a local guide who will educate you on the area and the stories of local folklore related to the island.

Bon Hon Island is home to the most famous caves in Halong Bay, Sung Sot Cave, Trinh Nu and Trong Cave. The spectacular limestone cliffs and lush green forest make this the perfect island for exploring, filled with flora, fauna, and wildlife.

Tip Top Island is the perfect beach destination and also features high-end resorts, accommodations, dining, shopping, and nightlife. The top (or tip) of the island can be reached via 400 steps providing breathtaking panoramic views of Halong Bay.
