City Center

Kalambaka is frequented by travelers, as it is centrally located to hotels, guesthouses, shops, restaurants, the bus stop and train station. It`s still a modern and small town, however and one shouldn`t expect to have everything at your fingertips (i.e. If you forget something, you may not have a fallback store to go to). Kalambaka offers hotels and accommodations of different types as well as campsites here. The town is only a fifteen minute walk from Kastraki, the other small town in the area.

Outskirts

Kastraki is a smaller town/village located only a 15 minute walk from Kalambaka, so if you can`t find hotels in one town, you can easily go to the next. Another area a bit further down the road is Trikala, which is less touristy and has a beautiful downtown and lots of cafes and restaurants.
