The Iberostar Grand Amazon makes stops at various spots in the Amazon Rainforest, offering trips on small boats for guests who want to explore the jungle's dense, untouched vegetation. This cruise hotel will take you to the site of the greatest natural exuberance on the planet - Amazonia - to marvel at tropical trees, plants and the Amazon's most exotic animal species.

On this journey along the course of the Amazon River, you will enjoy all the modern conveniences on this luxury cruise ship, including fully-equipped cabins, exclusive bars and restaurants, a wide range of entertainment activities, a conference room for conventions, shops, swimming pools, Jacuzzis, a disco, etc.

Day 1 - Friday:

06:00 pm. Depart to Janauacá Lake, passing by Ponta Negra. Sunset at the upper deck with classical music. Captain’s welcome cocktail with the presentation of the officers and crew in the Lua Salon, lecture on safety procedures. Welcome dinner in the Kuarup Restaurant.

Day 2 - Saturday:

Breakfast. Early in the morning boat ride in the Janauaca lake region with the opportunity to see birds and the beautiful landscape marked by the sunrise. Later in the morning, boat excursion through lakes, inundated areas, and streams including a visit to the house of a local to learn about their way of life, habits, and crop-raisings. Lunch. Afternoon boat ride to Manaquiri area including a visit to a floating house or enjoy a piranha fishing. Sunset. Dinner. Night ride with chances of spotting alligators. Navigation to Manacapuru.

Day 3 - Sunday:

At 05:45 am a boat ride and photo safari in the Manacapuru region to see the sunrise. After breakfast. boat excursion or jungle trekking through Igarapes and Igapos. Return to ship. Continue the trip to Lake Janauari area including a visit to a floating house with the possibility of purchasing local handicrafts. Lunch. Observation of local flora and fauna also available. Sunset. Dinner. Night ride with chances of spotting alligators. Navigation to Lake Janauaca.

Day 4 - Monday:

Sunrise at the Meeting of the Waters. Breakfast. Disembark at port of Manaus – 08:00 am.

During the dry season (Oct/Nov) the program may change due the level of the river for navigation. During Rainy Season (May to July) and Dry Season (October to December) peak periods, occasional floods or severe drought may occur causing some lodges to reschedule or replace activities/tours. E.g.: walking tours may only be done by boat or may even be replaced by other options (rainy season); longer walks with detours from river banks to lodges or other areas may be required including bridges over mud puddles or springs (dry season).
