La Conner is a town an hour north of Seattle, on the Swinomish Channel. Named for Louisa Ann Conner, one of the town`s first settlers, La Conner is one of the most unforgettable Pacific Northwest fishing towns. In the center of town, you will find the historic district, where there are a number of museums, such as the Museum of Northwest Art, the Skagit Historical Museum, and the Pacific Northwest Quilt Museum. La Conner also hosts the popular Skagit Valley Tulip Festival each April. La Conner is a small town, but it packs a big punch year around. In spring explore acres of beautiful blooms, especially daffodils and tulips. In summer sample fresh local produce and in the fall, celebrate the family farms. Each winter brings the migrating snow geese, trumpeter swans and the bald eagle festival.
