Nassau is the lively capital city of the beautiful and breathtaking Bahamas, situated on the island of New Providence with Paradise Island next door and a happening cruise ship port. Decorated by iconic pastel-colored British colonial buildings the island town is a charm to explore and offers visitors endless opportunities.

Downtown Bay Street is a bustling area located in the heart of Nassau decorated with colorful architecture and brimming with restaurants, bars, shops, and markets. This charming vibrant neighborhood is filled with historic buildings and home to the famed straw market and the Pirate's Museum.

Nassau’s renowned straw market, located on Bay Street in the center of town, is a fun market filled with handmade trinkets and souvenirs. Bahamians have sold handicrafts for hundreds of years producing weaved bowls using their skills brought over from their native Africa. There are wood carvings, beaded necklaces, t-shirts, and island-themed authentic Bahamian merchandise.

Paradise Island

Paradise Island, previously named Hog Island, is home to the renowned Atlantis resort along with numerous other beachside hotels and private homes. There is a golf course on the island and many other sights and attractions. The long cay runs parallel to the north end of New Providence Island and is connected by two bridges forming the Nassau Harbor. The Hog Island Lighthouse is another iconic landmark found on the western tip of the island marking the entrance to the harbor.

The Atlantis Resort is located on Paradise island adjacent from downtown Nassau, a luxurious hotel, aquarium, water park, and entertainment complex and one of the top attractions in the Bahamas. The massive resort is an iconic landmark on Paradise Island, where coral shaped towers can be seen from all angles on the island. There are many different ways to spend time at Atlantis with day pass options for visitors like the waterslides that shoot through a shark-filled tank at the Aquaventure Water Park. Visit the private beach, Dolphin Cay where rescued dolphins and rays can be seen and explore over 3 million gallons of aquariums spread throughout the resort.
