Laem Tong

Laem Tong is situated on the northeastern side of Koh Phi Phi Don Island; the name means `Golden Bay` in Thai and the area boasts a beautiful beach and spectacular scenery. Access to the area can only be made by boat making it a very quiet secluded place to stay and features luxury beachfront resorts such as the Holiday Inn Phi Phi Resort and the upscale Bohemian Zeavola Resort. This neighborhood is a small fisherman`s village with plenty of outdoor and water sports activities to enjoy, the beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and scuba diving the vibrant coral reefs located just off shore. Bamboo Mosquito and Hin Klang Island sit around 3 miles off the coast and can be viewed from the shoreline and visited by boat. Plenty of beachfront restaurants and fine dining at the hotels are available in Laem Tong including the Sawasdee Restaurant. Holiday Inn features the Sunset Satay Bar which is the perfect spot for a cocktail at sunset offering magnificent views. You can also take a 30-minute walk along a coastal path from Laem Tong to the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort in Lanah Bay.

Tonsai Pier

Tonsai Village is set in the heart of Koh Phi Phi Don at the center of Tonsai Bay where the Tonsai Pier is located. The main pier is the central arrival and departure place where ferries and boats transport visitors to and from other islands and the mainland. It is a popular neighborhood for travelers to stay where plenty of hotels and guest houses are located along with the convenience of being at the center of everything. There are no motorized vehicles on the island so walking around or riding a bicycle is the perfect way to check out local restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife the area has to offer. Tonsai East offers a beach and the bay stretches for miles lined with cliffs, there is a coastal path leading to the Phi Phi Viewpoint and Loh Dalum. Tonsai West is the quieter side of the island and Tonsai Village is where all the action takes place. Tonsai Tower is one of the main rock climbing areas on the island, the signature giant limestone cliffs that can be seen all around these islands are simply breathtaking.
