Ancon

The small town of Ancon is situated northeast of Balboa city, adjacent to Panama City in central Panama. A quiet residential area home to the Marcos A. Gelabert International Airport, the Grand National Transportation Terminal and the Albrook Mall, which is the largest mall in the country. The Panama flag is a popular landmark found on top of Ancon Hill, which is the most popular viewpoint in Panama City with views over the Panama Canal, the city center and Casco Viejo.

This neighborhood offers a great choice of excellent hotels and other accommodations for visitors to the nearby rainforest and Soberania National Park. There are many parks and wide open green spaces found in Ancon along with Cerro Ancon hill which is a popular spot for walking in the early morning and evening times.

Gamboa

The small town of Gamboa is situated on the Chagres River near the Panama Canal in Panama. The neighborhood is surrounded by the lush verdant tropical rainforest which is home to hundreds of native birds.
