Day 1: Iguassu Falls

Welcome to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, you will go through customs and immigration. Should you opt to purchase a transfer to your hotel; a representative will be waiting for you as you exit immigration. Arrive at your hotel, check in and do not give in to jet lag! There are many exciting things to explore in Iguassu Falls.

Take a flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls - a short 1 hr 50 min regional, from there, take a ride to your Iguazu Falls hotel via private car and driver. It is important to note that in order to facilitate Iguazu border procedures, Argentina's Immigration Department has developed an electronic migration card which will be a requisite for every passenger traveling to Iguazu and crossing into Brazil. Argentines and foreigners must have the card once in Iguazu. The card can be obtained by going to the website www.migraciones.gov.ar and following directions. On this first day at Iguazu Falls, we suggest you settle into your hotel, enjoy its amenities and relax.

Day 2: Iguassu Falls

Enjoy a full day tour of Argentine and Brazilian Falls departing from the hotel to visits on the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls, located within the Iguazu National Park, one of the most protected areas in South America and UNESCO Mankind Heritage Site. From the Visitor's Center, located in the Falls area, you will take an open train, making the 15-minute journey up to Cataratas Station. From there, you will walk in the paths and lookouts, able to admire up close the imposing 255 waterfalls precipitating to the river from a height of 229 feet. There are an amazing variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds, and butterflies in this area. The train continues to Garganta Station from where visitors descend walking 3940 feet to the Devil's Throat balcony. From here, the train returns to the Visitor's Center and the tour continues towards Foz do Iguazu National Park, one of the largest vegetation reserves in Brazil. Walking along the paths to the Brazilian side, one can easily be startled by the panoramic view of San Martin Island and the most imposing falls situated on the other side of the border, such as Bozzeti, Two Sisters, and the Three Musketeers, among others. Near the end of the path, visitors reach the outlook that offers an astonishing view of the Devil's Throat, situated only 492 feet away from this point. The wonderful scenery is rendered even more beautiful by the permanent rainbows that appear on the waterfalls. The path ends near Floriano Fall, where there is a small gift shop and a panoramic elevator that can be optionally boarded. At the end of the path, a long stairway takes visitors back to the place where a bus will be waiting to head back to the hotel. The tour takes approximately 7 hours and does not include lunch expenses. It is important to note that Tourist Visas are required for U.S. Citizens visiting Brazil. Visas must be obtained in advance from the Brazilian Consulate.

Please note, if your hotel is located in the Argentine side, you may opt for the Brazilian and Argentine Falls in a Full Day Tour departing from the hotel for visits on the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls.

Additional Days: Iguassu Falls

The tour continues to the Palermo neighborhood where the Zoo, the Botanical Gardens, the Palermo Woods, the National Polo Field and the Planetarium are located. On the way back to the hotel, you will visit the exclusive Recoleta residential neighborhood, where fashionable restaurants, cafes, and boutiques are located. Finally, the tour takes you to the famous Recoleta Cemetery, which is full of exquisite sculptures and mausoleums including Eva Peron's tomb. Your Last Day: Iguassu Falls

Depart from your hotel to the airport for your return flight home. We recommend that you purchase a private transfer to the airport, if so the representative will meet you at your hotel with plenty of time to get you to the airport for your flight out.
