Beach Strip

Beautiful beaches run along Tel Aviv`s coast offering beautiful white sandy beaches and the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. This popular beach area is filled with sunbathers, swimmers, and surfers. The Gordon-Frishman Beach area, is just south of Hilton Beach, is one of the most popular hotel areas in the city with accommodations lining the shores and plenty of dining and entertainment options. This neighborhood features the `Tayelet` or boardwalk filled with shops, restaurants, the marina and the famous Gordon Swimming Pool. Locals and tourists can enjoy outdoor activities in the nearby parks and on some of the world`s best beaches, which are popular for volleyball and matkot (paddleball). The beach branches off to some of the most popular streets in the city, such as Gordon and Frishman Streets, which provide easy access to the shops, restaurants, and attractions in the heart of the capital city. On Saturday mornings during the winter from 11 am until 2 pm, and evenings during the summer from 8 pm to 10 pm, locals practice folk dancing by the beach along with other entertainment to enjoy the local culture.

City Center

The heart of Tel Aviv is the city center containing the old north which is made up of Allenby Street in the south and the Yarkon River in the north. This beautiful bustling neighborhood is decorated with Bauhaus buildings and the famous White City, which is adorned with old eclectic buildings and new architecture. The city center is the base of some of the city`s best shopping along Dizengoff Street along with quaint cafes, bars and the Dizengoff Center. Rothschild Blvd and Sheinkin Street are some of the trendiest streets with upscale dining, world-class shopping, and an elite nightlife. Cultural Square and Meir Park are located here, both providing visitors with sights and attractions. The park offers walking and cycling paths, a children`s playground, a lake and the popular Landwer café. The square features a sunken garden, the Habima Theatre and reflecting pools.

Jaffa

The neighborhood of Old Jaffa, also known as Jaffa or Joppa, is the economic and cultural center of the country. The area lies on the magical Mediterranean Coastline and spans for over 40 miles north to Jerusalem. Jaffa is one of the oldest ports in the world and the walled city of Jaffa is where the modern Tel Aviv originated from. The area has been restored and boasts ancient lanes and alleyways filled with galleries, cafes, and restaurants. The famous Jaffa Flea Market is situated in this area filled with street stalls selling all kinds of amazing antiques and delicious food. Beautiful old buildings line the streets in this upmarket neighborhood with the Jaffa mosque situated in the heart of the area. Jaffa`s iconic clock tower sits in the heart of Jaffa Square and dates back to the 1900`s with many of the area`s attractions surrounding the tower. The ancient streets of Jaffa are filled with a vibrant atmosphere boasting unique boutiques, quaint cafes and hidden treasure to be discovered around every corner.
