CARDIFF QUEEN STREET TRAIN STATION
Cardiff Queen Street is the oldest train station in Wales, first opened in 1840 under the name Cardiff Taff Vale station. It has been rebuilt and renovated a number of times, perhaps most notably in 1887 when it received its current name, and most recently the station was redeveloped in 2014. The station welcomed 2.9 million riders in 2019, making it the second-busiest train station in Wales. It is considered one of the two hub stations in the Transport for Wales network, connecting Glamorgan and the central valleys with Cardiff.

Bus:
Take Baycar 6 on the Cardiff Bus system, located at the front of Queen Street station, to get to Cardiff Central train station. At the southern entrance, where the buses drop off, find the T9 Airport Express coach bus service, which takes 40 minutes and drops you off at Cardiff Airport. Tickets are £5 per person one-way. The T9 takes travelers from the station`s southern entrance to Cardiff Airport and vice-versa, and day passes are also available for multiple trips, priced at £11 per day. The Airport Express runs every 20 minutes in summer and every 30 minutes the rest of the year. For more information, visit www.trawscymru.info/t9. Taxi:
There is a taxi rank approximately a half-mile from the station, at Greyfriars Road. We recommend calling for a taxi at the train station; but if you feel like walking, you can walk up Station Terrace, turning left on Queen Street and walking past The Capitol Shopping Centre. Turn right onto Park Place, and turn left onto Greyfriars Road. The taxi rank is located near the Hilton Cardiff and Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC). The walk should take approximately 10 minutes.

The aforementioned Baycar 6 route typically travels between Cardiff Queen Street and Cardiff Central train station; one-way tickets are £1.60.
