Beach

The beach of Durres is the largest and most visited in the country, popular with locals and tourists alike, it stretches for 6 ½ miles along the entire seafront of the city on the Adriatic sea. There are plenty of hotels and accommodations that overlook the beach as this is one of the main places to stay in the city. The beach and its attractions are very popular on the weekends and during the summer months, availability can be harder during the summer and the prices of hotels go up considerably. There are some great hotels available along Durres beach with incredible views and unique rooms and amenities. There are all kinds of facilities available in Durres beach from restaurants to bars, sun loungers and umbrellas on the sand and some excellent shopping opportunities. The boardwalk is a wonderful place to be in the evening time, and great for a stroll and to capture the sunset.

City Center

The city center of Durres is a very interesting area to stay in with many of the ancient, archaeological sights such as the Roman Amphitheater Ruins located right in the heart of the city. Epidam boulevard is the elegant main street in the city lined by palm trees, quaint cafes, fancy restaurants, shops, and bars, the road leads all the way down to the harbor. There are plenty of accommodations found in the city center with hotels nestled right in the heart and within walking distance to many attractions.

Port

The bustling port area is a great location to base yourself when staying in Durres with great hotels and other accommodations available. The port offers visitors a very advantageous geographical location located in the south-western portion of the city, on the Bay of Durres, a key location to catch the passenger ferry that runs daily to Bari. Highlights in the area include excellent accommodations and restaurants serving up fresh delicious seafood and fish.
