City Center

The city center of Brasov offers a wonderful mixture of historic influences in the old town and the spectacular surrounding mountain scenery. Brasov is situated in the heart of Transylvania, the perfect location to stay and explore the beautiful region with hints of Baroque, Gothic, and Renaissance-style architecture throughout the city center. Many of the buildings where accommodations are located in the city center feature German influences, especially in the old town where many of the city’s main attractions are found. The city center location allows visitors easy access to transportation with the main train and bus stations found here. Outskirts

Brasov is the gateway to Transylvania and its gorgeous mountainous countryside and famed ski resort towns. Poiana Brasov and Predeal are charming resorts that are well worth a visit, other places that attract tourists are Bran, Moeciu, Rasnov, Prejmer, and Sambata. Poiana Brasov stands at 3,300 feet, a mountaintop ski and summer resort offering some of the best skiing in the country and a great destination for avid hikers who wish to trek through the Southern Carpathian Mountains with breathtaking panoramic views over the city of Brasov. Piata Sfatului is a nearby neighborhood offering some great accommodation such as charming bed and breakfast options and easy access to the city. The Schei district is steeped in history where Romanians were forced to live during the Saxon rule of Brasov from the 13th to 17th centuries. This authentic neighborhood offers some great places to stay and soak up the history, ambiance, and attractions.
