City Center

The city center can be found on the eastern side of the Neretva River with plenty of highly-rated hotels, hostels, and apartments available. Many bridges cross the Neretva river making it easy to access different areas and attractions in the city. Being in the center of town is a quieter option to staying on the other side of the river, there is a more peaceful vibe here with parks, river walks, and plenty of beautiful views. There is an abundance of options for accommodations, dining, and shopping to choose from. Hotel Mepas is a luxury 5-star hotel and an excellent choice in the city center. It is by far one of the best hotels in the city featuring an indoor swimming pool, wellness center, spa, and on-site entertainment options like a cinema and onsite restaurant.

Old Town

Mostar’s historic Old Town dates back to the 15th century, an Ottoman frontier town that spans the deep valley of the Neretva River. Old Town is located on the western side of the river and is considered one of the best locations to stay at when visiting the city, many of the attractions can be found right here and are within walking distance. Hotels and other accommodations can be found along the riverbanks offering guests some beautiful views. Old Town is filled with authentic Turkish houses, many now housing popular accommodations with cozy interiors, terraces, or balconies with great views. The main train and bus station are within walking distance from Old Town making connections to other parts of the city and surrounding areas easy to do. Famous sights such as the Stari Most Old Bridge are found in Old Town, along with a wide selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, and pubs. Nightlife and dining in the area are some of the highlights in the city.

Outskirts

The outskirts of Mostar offer visitors a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the old town, yet still, allow you to stay close enough to enjoy the city and its sights and attractions. There are many charming accommodations find in the outskirts of Mostar including the Monument Muslibegovic House Hotel, an adorable 4-star hotel, and a museum with stunning vibrant gardens and rooms decorated in typical Bosnian Ottoman style. Some of the suburbs of the city include Donje Vojno, Gojka Vukovich, and Faladzica which are all merely superb neighborhoods charmingly adorned with gorgeous architecture, colorful hanging baskets, and narrow streets that provide a wonderful backdrop. Old Town and the rest of the city can be easily reached, with these neighborhoods situated just 6-7 miles away, a pleasant drive or bike ride will connect you with the city.
