South West England is a relatively rural region of England, consisting of the counties of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and the city-county of Bristol. It is filled with exciting sights such as Stonehenge, the world-famous prehistoric stone circle which attracts 1.5 million visitors a year to rural Wiltshire; the Roman-era hot springs of Bath; the coasts of Dorset and east Devon, which showcase 185 million years of geological history in the collective form of beautiful beaches and rock formations; and the now-deserted tin mines that dot the coasts of west Devon and south Cornwall. All four of the aforementioned popular tourist attractions are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The largest city in the region, Bristol, is known for the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which takes passengers on a scenic ride 300 feet over the Avon Gorge. Gloucester, on the River Severn, is home to Gloucester Cathedral, the burial site of King Edward II. Geographic diversity abounds in the South West, ranging from the rolling hills of The Cotswolds to the rocky coasts of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, located off Cornwall`s southwestern tip.
Northern England is the quintessential English travel experience, offering both rural and urban vacation opportunities, ranging from such industrialized and vibrant cities as Manchester, Liverpool, and York, to the beauty of its national parks, like the Lake District, the Peak District, and the Yorkshire Dales.

Glamorgan, situated due north of South West England, is one of the historic counties of Wales, and covers a large portion of its southern coast. There are more castles in Glamorgan than in perhaps any other region of Wales. Historically a big coal and steel-producing region, it is home to Wales`s two largest cities, Cardiff and Swansea.
South East England is a large and geographically diverse region, much of which sits in the Thames River Valley, and here you can experience such sights as the New Forest, the Chiltern Hills, and the White Cliffs of Dover, in addition to Blenheim Palace, Windsor Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, and the list goes on.
