Trip Summary

  • Tunis

A modern metropolis in full growth and a major historic city, Tunis is always full of surprises. On the side of the medina, numerous ancient buildings open their doors, some transformed into museums or cultural centers, others into restaurants and tea rooms. The greater metropolitan area of Tunis, often referred to as Grand Tunis, has some 2,700,000 inhabitants. Situated on a large Mediterranean Sea gulf (the Gulf of Tunis), behind the Lake of Tunis and the port of La Goulette, the city extends along the coastal plain and the hills that surround it.

Visit and explore the Bardo National Museum, Zaytuna Mosque, Baths of Antoninus, Carthage National Museum, Byrsa Hill, and so much more.

  • Hammamet

Coastal city of Tunisia, Hammamet, famous for its fine sandy beaches and turquoise waters, is located in the northeast of the country, 37.2 miles from Tunis, on Cap Bon. It is home to a popular seaside resort, particularly frequented by the jet set, which aligns all-inclusive hotel complexes along the sea. Sunbathing, al fresco dining and late-night discos are a way of life in Hammamet, the Tunisian St-Tropez. Located on the fertile Cap Bon Peninsula, about 40 miles south of Tunis, the bayfront resort is surrounded by verdant hills and citrus groves.

Visit and discover the great Hammamet Medina, Plage, Fort Hammamet, Aquapark Flipper, Kasbah, and so much more.

  • Monastir

With its golden beaches and sapphire blue sea, its medieval monuments and its charming marina, Monastir offers one of the most attractive faces of Tunisia. The city`s littoral offers a variety of beaches all along a straight, low-lying coastline going from Sousse to Monastir. All along this littoral, a tourism and hotel industry has developed and is now the main focus of the city's economic activity. Monastir is now a port and, with adjacent Saqanis (Skanes), forms a fashionable beach resort complex that is served by an international airport.

Visit and explore the Ribat, Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, Flamingo Golf Course, Presidential Palace Bourguiba, and so much more.
