TRIPMASTERS' RESPONSE TO COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

What is Tripmasters doing in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation?

At Tripmasters we are working diligently to obtain the best results for our clients. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the CDC consider COVID-19 a foreseeable event at this point, and vendors are reacting accordingly. Vendors require clients to consider and abide by any restrictions or requirements for travel.

Each day we assess the most recent travel guidelines and work on affected reservations for clients - with the highest priority being given to clients whose bookings are scheduled to depart within the next 15 days. We know that some clients still feel uncertain about travel because travel restrictions and requirements are beginning to differ based on several factors. Our vendors are committed to safety where travel is allowed and act in accordance with all conditions on which travel in those countries is based.

For bookings departing within the next 15 days:

If you decide to cancel or postpone your booking, we will try to help you recoup the maximum possible credit amount for future travel. The benefit to you as a customer is that a future travel credit will minimize any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur based on our vendors' policies. This will give you the opportunity to recoup the greatest amount of your funds for your next trip when the time is right.

The services in your booking may be sourced from different vendors, and we will work with each vendor to obtain the maximum credit (where available) for your future trip. Because of the sheer volume of requests we and our vendors continue to face, this can take more time than normal. Tripmasters does not charge any change or cancellation fees, but we are contractually obligated to honor any fees or conditions imposed by our vendors. Vendors may not convert any non-refundable services into future travel credits due to the foreseeable nature of COVID-19.

Here is some additional information about vendor policies to date:

Airlines:
Airlines are less flexible with changes or cancellations now than in the earliest days of the pandemic. Policies vary by the airline; your detailed future credit statement will reflect the exact validity, if applicable. Any fare differences will be collected from the client at the time of rebooking.

Trains:
Many rail companies will offer an exchange for a new reservation (with the original rail company and route) for future travel. Any fare differences will be collected from the client at the time of rebooking.

Other Services:
Most vendors are not permitting any future credits or refunds for non-refundable services. If you are concerned about traveling, we encourage you to book refundable services wherever available.

Insurance:
If you purchased travel insurance, we will help refer you to the underwriter of the policy for any questions or to initiate a claim.

About Your Future Credit:
- If we are able to secure any future credits for canceled or postponed services we will send you a statement via email. We estimate this process will take approximately 30 to 45 days after your originally scheduled departure date.

- You will need to refer to your original booking number as that is where all the credits for your future travel are documented.

For bookings departing more than 15 days from now:

The situation surrounding COVID-19 is considered a foreseeable event. Right now, vendor policies are largely inflexible. We will update this page often as more information is available.

Tripmasters understands that waiting may seem counterintuitive, but it is the best option. Waiting until closer to your departure date allows us to protect your investment in your travel plans.

A final note:

To close, we would be remiss if we did not recommend our clients continue to monitor current travel guidelines and adhere to all precautions as outlined by the CDC, WHO, and all applicable tourism boards.
