Bric-a-Brac is a Boutique Hotel situated in the heart of Battambang city in Cambodia, this property supports Battambang's colonial architecture, and the city's official application for UNESCO heritage status. Local landmarks include Ek Phnom Temple, Phnom Sampeau and Battambang Museum. Bric-a-Brac preserve the building's original features and distressed finishes, sealing cracking and peeling walls under layers of glaze, styling the rooms with Khmer deco antiques and period pieces from across Asia. Floors vary from vintage Battambang green and red swirl-motif tiles, to ultra contemporary shiny sealed concrete juxtaposed with antique Persian carpets. The renovations are inspired by the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, embracing and glorifying transience and natural ageing.
