The region encompasses Northwest Asia, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Iraq, to mention a few. Such sites include The Great Wall of China, The Egyptian Pyramids, the oldest and holiest city in the world, Jerusalem, and the carved rock walls and gorges at the infamous archaeological site of Petra, Akko or Acre is the UNESCO listed town filled with markets, fortifications, Khans and underground tunnels.
