THE BEST TIME TO VISIT BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

The tropical Caribbean climate in the British Virgin islands brings year-round average daily temperatures of 80 degrees. The pleasant warm temperatures bring little humidity due to the moderate northeast trade winds that cool things off. The evening temperatures can be cooler dropping into the ’70s and the days are filled with bountiful sunshine. The driest months are February to May and most of the rain occurs from September to November with heavy bursts of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

September to November is said to be the best months to visit the tropical islands before the influx of travelers visit for the holiday season. Low hotel and travel rates are available this time of year and places are less crowded with beaches and other attractions being almost empty. These months can also be the hottest time of the year with highs soaring into the high 80’s. Temperatures are more pleasant from December through March when the daily temperatures are around 75-77 degrees.
