BORACAY - BEACHES

Beaches

The Island of Boracay has dozens of beautiful beaches boasting waterfront accommodations here are a list of some of the other beaches which are popular locations to stay.

White Beach

On the tropical island of Boracay, White Beach is the main attraction and the location of most of the accommodations, restaurants, shops, and nightlife. There are three sections to the popular White Beach that are named Station 1, 2 and 3, also broken down as north, middle and south, each offering their own different attractions and personality. The beach here is wide and many of the accommodations sit along the shoreline or nestled in the side of the rocks boasting beautiful scenery and views of the blue azure waters. Station 1 features an abundance of luxury resorts and hotels, Section 2 is the commercial heart of the island where plenty of shopping, eating and partying can be found, Station 3 is the quieter of the three and less developed providing guests with an idyllic tropical getaway.

Puka Shell Beach

Puka `Shell` Beach is situated in the northern tip of the island, a beautiful long stretch of white sands covered in crushed `Puka` shells and sparkling blue azure waters. This area is the definition of a tropical island getaway, relatively quiet and untouched, with a few restaurants and vendors selling snacks and refreshments on the sand. Puka Beach offers some nice accommodations situated within close proximity to the beach and other attractions, the most notable is the ultra-luxurious Shangri-La Boracay Resort and Spa nestled in the side of the rock providing a unique location with stunning views.

Bulabog Beach

Bulabog Beach runs parallel to White Beach on the east side of the Island. This beach stretches for about a mile and is protected by a vibrant coral reef situated about 1,500 feet offshore. Bulabog is a popular destination for windsurfers and kiteboarders from October to April with the Amihan (NE) winds, it is the number one kiteboarding beach in Asia. This area offers a laid back old island atmosphere and is less developed than White Beach offering some fantastic resorts with quiet surroundings and less developed than the other coast. The D`Mall shopping center is situated just 5 minutes away along with restaurants, bars, shops, and nightlife.

Baling Hai Beach

Baling Hai Beach is a small serene cove situated just to the north of Diniwid Beach with a peacefully relaxed environment. The beach here is secluded and found at the bottom of a cliff in the cove which makes it the ultimate beach destination for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and relaxation. Baling Hai is where the luxurious Balinghai Beach Resort can be found at the top of the cliff boasting spectacular views and accommodations and the cliff top restaurant.

Diniwid Beach

Diniwid Beach is located within walking distance to White Beach, Station 1 and can be reached by a small walkway between the cliffs. The beach here is small and peaceful with a few accommodations and villas along with restaurants including the popular Spider House Restaurant with a bar built into the cliffside and Nami Restaurant which was named the best in Boracay (2013).

Tambisaan Beach

Tambisaan Beach is a beautiful beach located on the southeastern tip of Boracay Island, situated between Barangay Bantud and Manoc Manoc. The beach is great for walking along the soft white sands and the crystal clear waters are great for snorkeling. There are a few resorts, restaurants and shops in the area and the idyllic Crocodile Island sits about 1,600 feet offshore. This is one of the best diving sites in the Philippines and many scuba diving and island hopping tours are offered from Tambisaan.
