November - March

Thailand`s cooler season takes place from November through to March, the country`s high season, where temperatures in Bangkok the capital can get as low as 60F degrees, average temperatures this time of year range from the low 60`s to mid 70`s. The northern cities such as Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai tend to experience the coldest weather with lows dropping into the 40`s where frost is also present. This time of year is also the high season in Thailand due to the cool dry temperatures when most visitors find it comfortable, however, rates and crowds increase at this time of year due to the holiday season. The colder season offers a great time to visit Thailand when winter flowers are in full bloom and the waterfalls are brimming. Visiting the hills and mountainous regions during this season offer some of the most spectacular scenery boasting beautiful blooms of flowers and lush green rice terraces.
