Stratford-upon-Avon
Arguably the greatest writer in the English language was William Shakespeare, who was born in the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564. Now a bustling city of over 25,000 people that sees over two million visitors a year, the Stratford of Shakespeare's day was little more than a village. The main attractions within the town include the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and two contemporary buildings, Hall's Croft (the one-time home of Shakespeare's daughter, Susannah) and New Place, the latter built on the site of an earlier house where the playwright died in 1616. Bath

Brighton
