Trip Summary

  • Paris

Paris is regarded as one of the most dynamic cities in Europe, and for good reason: the city assaults the senses; demanding to be seen, heard, touched, tasted, and smelled. Gaze at impressive monuments and savor its gourmet cheeses, chocolates, wines, and seafood. Paris is relatively small as capitals go, with many of its major sights and museums within walking distance of each other. A world of discovery awaits in every hidden corner and at all the famous sites, there is so much to explore.

Visit the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Jardin des Tuileries, Latin Quarter, Avenue des Champs Elysees, Musee d'Orsay, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe and so much more!

  • Orleans

Only an hour away from Paris, Orleans is the capital of the Loire Valley and is famous for two reasons: Joan of Arc and the `Chateaux` in the region. An important settlement by the time of the Roman conquest, the city sealed its place in history in 1429 when Joan of Arc relieved the city from attacks by the Burgundians and the English, a key turning point in the Hundred Years War. Six centuries later, the Maid of Orléans still has a powerful hold on the French imagination - all around town, you`ll find statues, stained-glass windows and museum exhibits dedicated to her exploits. Other attractions in the old city include an outstanding art museum and a breathtaking cathedral. Enjoy The Parc Floral de la Source, Saint Croix Cathedral, Place du Martroi, Charlemagne Island, Historic center, Fine Arts Museum, and so much more!

  • Blois

Towering above the northern bank of the Loire, Blois’ royal château, one-time feudal seat of the powerful counts of Blois, offers a great introduction to some key periods in French history and architecture. The city makes an excellent base for visits to the châteaux, villages and towns of the central Loire Valley. Explore Château de Blois, Beaux-Arts Museum, Fondation du Doute: Museum of Contemporary Art, Maison de la Magie (House of Magic), Rocher de la Vierge, Historical Museum, Tour Beauvoir, Loire River Trips, Chateux, of the Loire Valley, Gardens, and so much more!

  • Tours

Situated at the junction of the Loire and Cher rivers, Tours is an excellent base for visiting the region's magnificent châteaux. The original home of the French language and the `art de vivre`, Tours is a land of harmony and proportion. Today, it is a modern, lively centre; with a thriving university, cultivating economic development. You can taste its charm visiting the old quarter, the Gothic Cathedral of St. Gatien, Touraine Wine Museum, the fine-arts museum and Plessis les Tours. Expore The Old Quarter and Pilgrims, Place Plumereau, Priory Saint-Cosme, Saint-Gatien Cathedral, La Psalette Cloisters, Saint-Martin Basilica, Botanical Garden of Tours, Museum of the Compagnonnage, Markets, Châteaus, and so much more!
