4X4 Safari to Landmannalaugar - Full-Day Small Group Tour

Landmannalaugar in Iceland is a magnificent place. Lava field surrounded by mountains of colorful Rhyolite and one of the most popular places for hiking. We focus on small group - Max 6 persons, with a more personal service!
Landmannalaugar in Iceland is a magnificent place. Lava field surrounded by mountains of colorful Rhyolite and one of the most popular places for hiking. Landmannalaugar actually means "Land mans pool", because of the natural geothermal pools in the area. In the past, it was a welcome place for travellers who had traveled the country on horseback or on foot, to stop and bathe. So do not forget to bring your swim suit and a towel with you on the trip!
This is a super 4x4 safari to Landmannalaugar in Iceland with an optional easy/moderate two hours hike.
Highlights:
Fossabrekkur
Wonderfully lush place! Close to the roots of Hekla is the source of the river Ranga. This is a wonderfully lush place in the middle of the desert. The river comes from underneath the lava and is ice cold and fresh. So bring your water bottles and fill them up with the best water you will find.
The Black Sand Valley
The South Coast offers The Black Sand Beach, on this tour we offer you the Black Sand Valley. We will make a stop at a top of a hill where there is a view over a valley covered with volcanic ash from the historical volcano Hekla. A place where you really feel like you've been stranded on the moon.
Landmannalaugar
Here we do a little hike and bathe in a natural hot spring.
Welcome to Landmannalaugar in Iceland. We will stop here for a few hours. The guide will offer you a hike up to Brennisteinsalda. During the hike your are surrounded by nature so peculiar that you would hardly be surprised if you saw an elf running by. The colorful rhyolite mountains and some small hot springs scattered all over close to Brennisteinsalda with a mystical steam rising up from them. When returning to the huts, after about two hours of hiking, there still is enough time to take a bath in the natural pool.
Hnausapollur Crater
Hnausapollur is a huge crater on our way from Landmannalaugar. The view over the crater is exceptionally beautiful with high contrast, red lava and the blue lake, makes this stop really wonderful."

Beautiful Thorsmork - Full-Day Small Group Tour
- Type:Day Trips and Excursions
- Duration:12 Hours
Thorsmork is a place of diverse and magnificent landscape with its ice capped peaks, jagged mountain ridges and valleys rich with moss and birch woodland. We focus on small groups, with a more personal service!
The Valley of Thor, or Thorsmork (Thorsmork) in Icelandic, is a nature reserve in the southern highlands, located between three glaciers:
Eyjafjallajokull (the famous glacier volcano that erupted in 2010 and caused widespread disruption to air traffic in Europe), Myrdalsjokull and Tindfjallajokull. Thorsmork is a place of diverse and magnificent landscape with its ice capped peaks, jagged mountain ridges and valleys rich with moss and birch woodland.
Thorsmork is a paradise for hikers, photographers and nature lovers.
Beautiful Surroundings of Thorsmork is a super 4x4 tour with an optional easy/moderate 90 minute hike.
Highlights:
Waterfall Seljalandsfoss
Seljalandsfoss is one of the most visited waterfalls in Iceland. This 66m (213ft) high waterfall is not the most powerful waterfall in Iceland but extremely beautiful. What makes it special, though, is the fact that you can walk behind it. Just remember to bring rain gear with you because it is not unlikely that spray from the waterfall will catch you.
Gigjokull Glacier
By now you have entered the beautiful Surroundings of Thorsmork. Gigjokull is an outlet that flows from Eyjafjallajokull. Previously, there was a glacial lagoon underneath the glacier, which was one of the gems of Thorsmork, but it got destroyed in the famous 2010 Eyjafjalla volcanic eruption. therefore today it is possible to drive on the former bottom of the lagoon almost up to the glacier.
Valahnukur
Here we hike! Hiking up Valahnukur is relatively easy 220m (722ft) ascent hike and takes about an hour and a half. When you are up there you are standing in an elevation of around 1000m (3300ft) with a spectacular view over valleys and gorges covered with moss and birch forest, glacial rivers and the glaciers Myrdalsjokull and Eyjafjallajokull.
Basar - The hikers wonderland
Basar is one of the most beautiful and sheltered areas in the Thorsmork - an oasis of natural birch woods. It is a wonderland for hikers with hiking trails and paths in all directions, through valleys and gorges with delicate birch forest, glacial rivers and magnificent mountain scenery.INCLUDESTourguide

Combo Golden Circle and Northern Lights
- Type:Zoo and Aquarium Tickets
- Duration:8 Hours
See Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and the northern lights on this amazing combo tour.
Explore a few of Iceland's most famous landmarks on Golden Circle Direct as well as go on a search for the northern lights in one day. Begin the day at 10:30 with a Golden Circle tour, where you will visit Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park.
Geysir the Geyser
Geysir is the place from which all other geysers in the world get their name. The famous Geysir does not often erupt anymore but the smaller, yet very impressive Strokkur erupts every 4-8 minutes and shoots a column of water up to 40 metres up in the air.
The Glorious Gullfoss
Gullfoss waterfall is a part of the glacial river Hvita which gets its water from Langjokull glacier, the second largest glacier in Iceland. The step-waterfall is quite the sight, and from many viewpoints it looks like the waterfall falls straight into an abyss, but in reality, it falls into a crevice which is 32 metres deep.
The Magic of Thingvellir (Thingvellir)
The last stop of the day is at Thingvellir which is known for being one of the very few places in the world where you can see the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates above ground (other places are all in Iceland). The park is a UNESCO world heritage site. You will arrive back in Reykjavik at 16:30.
Experience the Northern Lights
You will have a few hours to spend before you join our northern lights tour at 20:00 (16 October - 28 February), 21:00 (1 March - 14 March) or at 22:00 (25 August - 15 October & 15 March - 15 April). The three-hour long northern lights tour will take you out of the city for the best possible view of the lights. The northern lights, also known as aurora borealis, are caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole. The locations visited during the northern lights tour vary from day to day depending on weather conditions.
Indicated return times may vary if the activity is good, but we should be back in Reykjavik three hours after the tour starts.
