Aperitif on the boat in front of Portovenere, waiting for the sunset. You will be able to take numerous photos of the picturesque houses of Portovenere, admire the majestic church of San Pietro and see the sun setting behind it

Isola Palmaria (Pass by)

Tour of the Palmaria island. We will pass by the marble quarry, at the end. We will approach the Blue Grotto, famous for its crystal clear water and for the rocks which, when hit by the sun, seem to be coated in gold.

Isola del Tino (Pass by)

The island of Tino is a small, uninhabited island on which there is one of the oldest lighthouses still in operation. On the north side of the island we will see the remains of a Benedictine monastery and a WWII bunker.
Going around the island of Tino, we will discover another small island, called Tinetto, partly submerged, in front of which stands, in the middle of the sea, the statue of the Madonna Stella Maris, protector of sailors and the inhabitants of the Gulf of Spice

Grotta di Byron (Pass by)

We will approach the Byron Cave by boat, in the bay behind Portovenere, waiting for the sunset. This cave takes its name from the English poet Lord Byron, who used to swim there to meditate and seek inspiration to write his works

Torre Scola (Pass by)

We will pass near Torre Scola, an ancient military fortress built in the middle of the sea on a submerged rock. Torre Scola was built in 1600 and was partly destroyed during the first Napoleonic war.

The port full of boats, the colorful houses and an intense blue sea: this is one of the most beautiful postcards of Lerici!
Lerici is a seaside town nestled in the Gulf of Poets in the province of La Spezia, in Liguria, and is one of the most loved (and renowned) places on the Riviera del Levante for its panoramas and beaches with clear waters.
Its wonderful views have inspired many romantic poets such as Lord Byron, Percy and Mary Shelley, but also Italian writers such as Boccaccio, Petrarca, Dante and others.

Tellaro is a seaside village in eastern Liguria, located in the municipality of Lerici, in the province of La Spezia. Overlooking the sea of the Gulf of Poets, it has always enchanted tourists and famous visitors such as D.H. Lawrence, Tomlinson and Mario Soldati, who chose this town as a place of retreat.
For its landscape and architectural beauties, Tellaro is part of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy circuit.

4: Isola Palmaria

Palmaria has a vaguely triangular shape and has a surface area of just under 2 km2. Its highest point, the "summit", reaches 180 meters above sea level.

The highest part of the island slopes rather gently on the northern side (the one facing Portovenere) and on the eastern one (opposite La Spezia). These slopes are covered with holm oak woods and Mediterranean scrub, which alternate with ancient terraces.

The western side of Palmaria is instead characterized by vertiginous cliffs of clear rock, which follow one another overhanging the sea.

The only nucleus of houses that could be defined as an inhabited center is Terrizzo, which has roughly fifty inhabitants. On the rest of the island, except for the hordes of summer tourists, human presence is very limited.

In the southernmost part of the bay is the sanctuary of Nostra Signora delle Grazie, the patron saint of the village, a fifteenth-century church which was subsequently remodeled. It preserves a wooden choir carved by Frà Paolo da Recco and the image of the Madonna painted by Andrea de Aste in the center of the main altar.

From the meeting point we will leave towards Portovenere, a splendid pearl on the sea! During the first part of the tour we will have the opportunity to admire the internal landscapes of the gulf that will surround us, we will pass along the city villages, until we reach the Gulf dam where there are the nurseries, the characteristic muscle and oyster farms. We will pass in front of Portovenere, a very characteristic location for being beautiful and romantic at the same time, along the stretch of sea between Portovenere and the Palmaria island located right in front. We will continue slowly to fully enjoy the surrounding landscape, with the possibility of taking some photos or enjoying a few minutes of relaxation in front of the wonderful church of San Pietro, which stands at the furthest point of the town and overlooks the open sea.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your guide in Monterosso to begin your kayaking adventure. Pack your own lunch snacks for the ride and get comfortable on your kayak with a brief safety overview before heading out.

Slip on your life jacket, settle into your single or double kayak and set off with your guide on the beautiful blue waters. All skill levels can be accommodated, regardless of whether youre a first-timer or paddling pro.

Glide into the Cinque Terre Protected Marine Area, admiring views of the surrounding cliffs. As you paddle at a relaxed pace, keep your eyes out for seabirds and dolphins.

Stop at the terraced hills of Vernazza, the village celebrated for its wine production, where you have the option to disembark and take a walk around the town.

After some down time, hop back in your kayak and head toward the colorful town of Corniglia. Enjoy more time ashore or, if you wish, continue kayaking south toward Manarola and Riomaggiore.

Your tour will conclude at your original departure point.

Sunset Option (2.5 hours):

Depart from Monterosso at 4,30pm aboard your kayak. Take in the sunset and enjoy the sea at an hour when the crowds are gone and everything is quieter. Paddle toward Vernazza to discover its cliffs and caves, stop at a waterfall spring, and take a dip in the water.

Hop aboard a comfortable traditional boat to depart from La Spezia or Porto Venere and admire the beautiful pastel-colored houses along the way. Then, head north and skirt the Church of San Pietro to admire Lord Byron's Grotto, a rocky cove named after the poet. Next, admire the huge rocky cliffs along the coast. Afterwards, hop back on the boat and admire Riomaggiore, a beautiful and ancient fishing village famous for its tower houses. Continuing, you will pass through Manarola and Corniglia, then stop for about 40 minutes in the bay of Guvano where you can snorkel among the fish and admire the crystal clear sea of the Cinque Terre natural park. WHAT TO EXPECT

Monterosso al Mare (Pass by)

The northernmost village of the Cinque Terre is Monterosso, which is divided into two sides: the historic center and the new side called Fegina, with a pedestrian tunnel that connects the two. Monterosso is larger than the other towns and is the only one that offers beach services, making it the most visited of the Cinque Terre.

Vernazza (Pass by)

Vernazza the smallest of the Cinque Terre, and commonly known as the most fascinating with a beautiful marina and the Church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia which stands right on the water. Here you will also see the Torre del Belforte which sits right on the harbor as a protective lighthouse for the small village.

Corniglia (Pass by)

Corniglia: lying 100 meters high on a cliff, Corniglia is the only one of the towns without a port and has a panoramic terrace from which you can see Manarola and Riomaggiore to the south and Vernazza and Monterosso to the north.

Manarola (Pass by)

Manarola: is located at the other end of the Via del Amore and is part of the municipality of Riomaggiore. Known for its wine production, Manarola produces the only dessert wine called Sciacchetrà found only in this area.

Riomaggiore (Pass by)

While we continue to sail along the coast of the Cinque Terre villages, we meet Riomaggiore. With brightly colored houses built vertically on the surrounding hills, Riomaggiore is the second largest of the five towns and is widely known for excellent diving spots off its coast in the marine protected area that stretches all along the Cinque Terre. Here you will also see where the famous Via del Amore pedestrian path begins, leading to nearby Manarola.

The departure is at Assonautica dock (in La Spezia) at 10am. Please be there at least 15 minutes earlier. Exiting La Spezia Centrale train station, turn left, cross the roundabout and walk through the pedestrian place called Piazza Saint Bon. Enter the pedestrian road Via Prione and follow it until the end where youll meet the public gardens. Walk through it, you will get to the sea. Looking at the sea, you will have a white bridge on your right and the ferries dock on your left. Go left. Walk past the Cinque Terre ferries dock, and you will see a wooden structure with Assonautica written on it: enter and wait in the sitting area for Arcangelo, your skipper. It takes about 20 minutes walking from the train station to the pier.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Start this fun day trip at sea by making your way to the port in La Spezia and meet the expert skipper who will be maneuvering your boat through the seas in Liguria for the next seven hours. Hop on the boat and sail away into the Gulf of La Spezia, also known as the Gulf of Poets because of the legendary scribes who have put their stamp on their area. From a distance, see the islands of Palmaria and Tino.

After a while, head west along the coastline of Cinque Terre to see the famous five villages that hug the rocky shore: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. As the boat cuts through the shimmering sea, marvel at the colorful picturesque villages, some of which can't be accessed by automobile, which means the view from the boat is the best way to see them.

Once you reach Varnazza, sit down on the boat to indulge in a typical Ligurian lunch that may included focaccia, anchovies, cured meats and other delights (see sample menu below).

Continue sailing along the shoreline and even take the reins for a while as the skipper offers some valuable sailing tips. The trip finishes when you disembark back in La Spezia in the early evening.

The boat will start from Monterosso at 11.30 am. We have no sign on the dock. The boat will not be moored at the port but will approach the dock a few minutes before the tour departure time, so we recommend to be at the dock at least 5/10 minutes before the departure.

We'll leave from the Monterosso's pier around 11,30, and then we will start to sail along the Cinque Terre Cost.

Vernazza (Pass by)

We will pass Vernazza and we will be able to fully enjoy all its beauty from the sea, during the journey it will be our pleasure to tell you all the history and curiosities of this fantastic land.

Corniglia (Pass by)

During the tour we will stop in front of Corniglia, the most perched village of the Cinque Terre, how may shots to take!
We will stop then for the first swim (around 20 minutes) for snorkeling and relaxing in the clear crystal waters of a nice bay nearby Manarola

Manarola (Pass by)

We will also have the opportunity to stop in front of the enchanting Manarola with our privileged position from the sea to fully enjoy all its beauty and splendor of colors.

Riomaggiore (Pass by)

We will also stop in front of Riomaggiore to give you the opportunity to take all your photos and navigating a little more we will take you to one of our favorite places (secret spots) to take a bath together in the crystal clear waters of the Cinque Terre. (around 15 minutes)
We will return sailing towards Monterosso but first we will stop in front of the enchanting Punta Mesco, to say "arrivederci" to the sun together and enjoy the enchantment of the colors that the sky and the sea will give us.
