I will prepare with you an authentic, fresh and Italian pasta, in different shapes.
We will study and understand the ingredients, the different uses of 00 flour and the fillings. We will prepare tagliatelle or guitar pasta and stuffed pasta together, to finish with the preparation of Tiramisu, the best known Italian dessert in the world.
At the end of the course, the preparation of homemade pasta and tiramisu will have no more secrets.

1: Castello

Castello was one of the earliest parts of Venice to be settled (fifth to sixth centuries). The district takes its name from the castle that stood there and which provided defence from attacks from the sea. Here is the ancient Arsenal, that was an essential part of the life of the repubblica.

For many centuries the cathedral was under the authority of the Patriarch of Grado. In 1451 Venice obtained its own patriarch. hence the church became cathedral. As a result of the dignities that were suppressed by Napoleon in 1807, San Marco (Saint Mark's) became the new cathedral and instead of just being a chapel of the Doge's it became the seat of the Patriarch

It can be recognised by its terracotta walls and squares towers. From the thirteenth century it was an essential part of the life of the republic.

2: Arsenale di Venezia

The Arsenale of Venice is an ancient complex of shipyards and workshops that constitutes a very large part of the island city of Venice, at its eastern end. It was the heart of the Venetian naval industry from the twelfth century and is linked to the most flourishing period of the life of the Serenissima: thanks to the imposing ships built here, the Venetian Republic managed to contrast the Ottomans in the Aegean Sea and conquer the routes of northern Europe .

Thanks to its organization, the Venice arsenal has anticipated the modern concept of a few centuries, intended as a production complex in which specialized workers carry out the individual assembly operations of a product successively, along an assembly line and using standard components . It represents the most important example of a large production complex with a centralized structure of the pre-industrial economy. [1] The surface extends over an area of 48 hectares [2] (15% of the surface of the city [3]), while the number of workers (the arsenalotti) reached, in periods of full production activity, the average daily quota of 1500-2000 units (with a peak of 4500-5000 registered in the Book of workers), that is, from 2% up to 5% of the entire city population of the time (about 100,000 inhabitants).

The complex is the only example of a shipyard and weapons factory that has always maintained the same nature and function, for seven centuries, even after the decline of the Republic of Venice

Remember, however, that you may be on a boat with other people (shared tour) everyone must agree!! But how can you not see part of the beautiful lagoon? IMPOSSIBLE.

3: Isola di Burano - World Heritage Site

We will arrive in Burano, in the main canal, where on your right, you will admire the crooked bell tower, all the colorful fishermen's houses, while the banks will be full of people, we will pass by with the boat, where we will moor!

The shops are PRE-SELECTED because in each of them, the history of the island and its traditions will be told.

Meet your guide in St. Mark's Square and take the time to admire the squares grand monuments before setting off on a walking tour of the city. 6: Doge's Palace

Our guide will accompany you to the Doges Palace, which dominates Saint Mark's Square, the heart of Venice, standing out for its size and its extraordinary structure, where Byzantine, European and Oriental architecture collide. Immediately entering the Palace you will pass through the great courtyard and admire the wealth of detail on the famous Golden Staircase.
Once inside the Palace, you will visit the halls where the Duke (Doge) and his Council controlled the fate of the Serene Republic, whilst surrounded by hundreds of artistic masterpieces and discover the political history of Venice and its people. You will be able to admire the paintings realised by some of the most important artists of the Italian Renaissance, amongst them, the world's largest oil painting by Tintoretto. Passing through the famous Bridge of Sighs, you will reach the new prisons. The bridge was given its name by the English poet Lord Byron, probably referring to the last breath of the prisoners, who had their last view of the lagoon and of Venice from the window of this bridge, before they were to be imprisoned.

7: Basilica di San Marco

During the second part of the tour you will visit the Basilica, once the private chapel of the Doge of Venice, and the only one of its kind in Italy, thanks to the sumptous golden mosaics and impressive marble inlay flooring.

Find your guide at Campo San Moisè, who will be holding a sign with the name of the tour company. Embark on a city walking tour through Venice's central area, exploring the area between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. Make stops at the Scala del Bovolo and Teatro la Fenice.
