Mostar, in the southwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is known the world over for its picturesque Old Bridge spanning the Neretva River. The Old Bridge was built by the Ottomans in the 16th century and tragically destroyed during the Bosnian War in 1993. It was rebuilt between 2001-2004 with the help of UNESCO, which named the area a World Heritage Site. Moreover, Mostar is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most beautiful cities and a top attraction in the Balkans. Believe it or not, it's a place rich in culture, history, and beautiful buildings.
