Our goal is to catch the northern lights, learn more about nature, local culture, and visit the famous Abisko. Outside the window, we see the stars, and if we are lucky, a hint of green auroras in the sky.
1.5 hours later, we are there for a three-course dinner down in the village of Abisko. We talk about nature, Sami culture, northern lights, and local history. We can never guarantee that we will see the aurora, but if the weather is good after dinner, we will take a walk in the Abisko area to experience the landscape and look for the northern lights. Our local guides are trained photo guides, so if you bring your camera, we will help you take photos.

Next, you will help us prepare a small team of 8-10 dogs, sit with us on a powerful ATV, and learn how we train our dogs pre-season. After, we will take the harnesses of the huskies and give them a lovely chunk of meat as a treat for their excellent work. The duration of these activities depends on the number of people but is generally between 1.5 and 3 hours. Tea, coffee & sweet snacks are also provided over an open fire. Our guides use the weather & northern lights (aurora borealis) forecast to predict the best locations to have the highest probability to see northern lights. Northern lights is a natural phenomenon and changes constantly the same as the wild nature. Our guides do everything in their power to guide you to northern lights but sometimes it´s not possible due to weather conditions.
If you are a photographer you are in good hands as we are too. Bring your own camera equipment or rent it from us. Tripod is needed to photograph Northern lights as you need a long shutter. Please notify us as soon as possible or at least 48 hours prior departure (availibilty is limited).
We meet and make a short introduction of the tour and how it works. Then buckle up and the hunt for northern lights has began for the night.

We start the tour in the village of Jukkasjärvi with a 25-minute snowmobile ride out to the camp, far away from city life and noise. There you will meet our reindeer, and can take a classic reindeer sleigh ride.
