Trip Summary

  • Tunis

A modern metropolis in full growth and a major historic city, Tunis is always full of surprises. On the side of the medina, numerous ancient buildings open their doors, some transformed into museums or cultural centers, others into restaurants and tea rooms. The greater metropolitan area of Tunis, often referred to as Grand Tunis, has some 2,700,000 inhabitants. Situated on a large Mediterranean Sea gulf (the Gulf of Tunis), behind the Lake of Tunis and the port of La Goulette, the city extends along the coastal plain and the hills that surround it.

Visit and explore the Bardo National Museum, Zaytuna Mosque, Baths of Antoninus, Carthage National Museum, Byrsa Hill, and so much more.

  • Sfax

Sfax is considered as the economic pole of the country. Its economic dynamism and its open port on the Mediterranean give it a place of choice on the international market. Sfax is one of Tunisia's largest cities, a main outlet for the country's central and southern regions, and a major fishing port with fish canneries. SFAX is considered the beating heart of the Tunisian economy. The main economic activities of Sfax are industries (phosphate processing), agriculture (olive and olive oil), fishing (largest fishing port in Tunisia) and trade (import-export). SFAX is often described as Tunisia's second city (after the capital Tunis).

Visit and explore the Plage Casino Sfax, Sfax Archaeological Museum, Zoo Touta, Casbah Museum, and so much more.

  • Sousse

Sousse is the third city in Tunisia and one of the most touristic in the country. Large hotels have colonized the coast, and the old town is literally invaded by German and French tourists. The city is once again an important trade center, and agricultural activity has declined in favor of fishing and tourism. Major economic pursuits include sardine canning, automotive parts manufacture and assembly, olive oil processing, and cotton textile milling. To visit, there is the ribat and the Archaeological Museum, both in the medina.

Visit and explore the Sousse Ribat, Sousse Archaeological Museum, AQUASPLASH - Aquapark Thalassa Sousse, Museum Dar Essid, Grande Mosquee de Sousse, and so much more.

  • Hammamet

Coastal city of Tunisia, Hammamet, famous for its fine sandy beaches and turquoise waters, is located in the northeast of the country, 37.2 miles from Tunis, on Cap Bon. It is home to a popular seaside resort, particularly frequented by the jet set, which aligns all-inclusive hotel complexes along the sea. Sunbathing, al fresco dining and late-night discos are a way of life in Hammamet, the Tunisian St-Tropez. Located on the fertile Cap Bon Peninsula, about 40 miles south of Tunis, the bayfront resort is surrounded by verdant hills and citrus groves.

Visit and discover the great Hammamet Medina, Plage, Fort Hammamet, Aquapark Flipper, Kasbah, and so much more.
