The airport you will most likely fly into when you are visiting Frigiliana is Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (IATA code AGP). You may also enter the region from Federico García Lorca Granada Airport (IATA code GRX).
Driving directions to Frigiliana from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport: When leaving the airport, take the loop onto the MA-21 motorway. After approximately one mile, use the right two lanes to merge onto the MA-20 around their exit 5. At exit 12, use the left two lanes to stay on MA-20, which will become the A-7 freeway (this will be exit 240 on the A-7). Take the exit to the right at exit 292 (Túnel de Frigiliana). Keep left at the roundabout to connect to the MA-5105 road and drive one mile to Frigiliana. (If you have found yourself in Nerja instead, you have taken the wrong direction on the roundabout.)
Driving directions to Frigiliana from Federico García Lorca Granada Airport: When leaving the airport, drive on the A-4075 road and turn right on the A-92/A-92G motorway. In a couple of miles, turn right onto the E-902/A-44 toward Motril. This road is called the Autovía Sierra Nevada-Costa Tropical. Turn right and take exit 183 (Salobreña/Málaga) to join the A-7 motorway/Autovía del Mediterráneo. Take the exit to the right at exit 292 (Túnel de Frigiliana). Keep right at the roundabout to connect to the MA-5105 road and drive one mile to Frigiliana.

ALSA (www.alsa.es, website in Spanish) operates a bus with 9 departures daily (none on Sundays) from Frigiliana to Nerja, with the first bus leaving at 7:20 a.m. and the last bus leaving at 8:30 p.m. The bus station is on Calle Real, across from the Botanical Garden. There is no other bus service in Frigiliana.
How do I call/hail a taxi?Taxi Frigiliana (+34 696 969 469, www.taxifrigiliana.com) is the main taxi company in Frigiliana. It is such a small town, taxis are almost unnecessary, but you will need them if you want to travel to Nerja or get to sights farther afield. Taxis in Frigiliana are white and the one taxi rank in town is located at the Plaza del Ingenio. Prices are roughly €15 to Nerja, €75-€85 to Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, €135-€155 to Federico García Lorca Granada Airport, €145-€165 to Marbella, €100-€120 to Fuengirola, and €90-€110 to Benalmadena.
How easy is it to explore Frigiliana?The winding, hilly streets of Frigiliana are beautiful, and it helps that the town is very compact, snaking along for over a half-mile but not very wide at all. If you are spending at least two full days in Frigiliana, you will have no problem pacing yourself and walking all the hilly streets your heart desires. For those who love walking, hiking, and the outdoors, the Parque Natural de Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama is almost literally at your fingertips, as its boundaries are just to the north and east of town limits.
