CEBU - GETTING AROUND

By Bus

MyBus runs a service in the city connecting to the airport, the SM city mall, the SM Seaside City and the North Bus Station (near Cebu International Port in Mandaue City). A bus ride costs around ₱25 and the buses operate from 6 am until 10 pm. Buses can connect travelers to the northern and southern destinations on the Island, a trip from Cebu to Moalboal (a 4-hour journey) will cost approximately ₱700.

By Taxi

Taxis are easy to come by and one of the most common modes of transport around the city, they can be found outside major attractions, hotels and transportation hubs as well as ordered by phone. The flag fair for a taxi in the city is around ₱40 + ₱3.5 for every 0.62 miles and a trip around the city should not cost more than ₱100.

By Jeepney

Taking a ride on a Jeepney in the city is a unique way to get around the city. These vibrant forms of transportation follow scheduled routes and operate 24/7 with a general cost of around ₱10 for short distances.

By Foot

Cebu Island is a great destination to explore on foot. Wander around the city and check out the ancient history of this metropolitan city. Walking around the large malls for some retail therapy is a refreshing retreat from the heat. Wander around the famous Carbon Market collecting fresh produce and souvenirs from the many street stalls. Escape to the tropical island of Bantayan for a relaxing stroll along the turquoise waterfront of the white sand beaches. Visit Olango Island filled with wildlife with over 2,000 acres that can be explored on foot. Hike through the lush green rainforest to the famous Kawasan Falls.

By Bicycle

Riding a bike around Cebu is possible with scenic surroundings and long stretches of beaches which are easily accessed by bike. Take a mountain bike trip to `The Tops` lookout point at the top of Mount Busay where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the city and surrounding islands.

By Tricycle

Motorized tricycles are a common sight in the city and can accommodate up to four passengers. A great option to go short distances and can be found all over the city.

By Ferry

Ferries are a great way to visit the islands the lie off the coast of Cebu such as Bohol. There are five ferry terminals located in the city with local piers such as Hagnaya Port (for Bantayan Island) and Maya (for Malapascua Island) both of which are located on the northern tip of Cebu.
